Lack of management skills in this company. Seems like the owners and there minions have no previous experience in hospititality (except a degree), but mostly how to manage and run a company. Poor poor. I feel bad for the lower rank employees.
Just last week I used ParkOps in Philadelphia,PA. After my car was parked I was sitting down at a restaurant next to a window which had a view of the valet parking service. I noticed my car going in the wrong direction on a one way street. This isn't unusual for a valet I guess, however, what I saw next is unacceptable. After they moved my car-- against traffic-- I see the driver open the hood of my car to jump start another vehicle. I immediately left and ran towards my car. I asked for an explanation as to why this was done. I was informed that "management" gave authorization to perform this action. I was not contacted to ask if they could use my car; without my authorization this is unacceptable. I asked to speak with the manager, he was not helpful. He offered a refund for the valet services which I chose not to accept. I left furious at the situation. Their lack of professionalism ruined what should've been a joyous celebration. The folks at the restaurant came to our table and gave me the contact information for Park Ops office. They were helpful and tried to make our dining experience as positive as they could. I sent an email that same day and also called the very next day, to ensure my complaint was received since I had not received a response. When I called Park Ops office it went to a cell phone voicemail. Later when I spoke to their manager Dan Bell he was rude and dismissive.
The ParkOpsPhilly valet parking caused delays and issues for people who wanted to drive somewhere and had to wait to have their car brought around. I worried that they would not correctly use the on/off ignition button on my hybrid the whole time I was there since you can park the car and it will be silent but it will not be "off”. And sure enough, this was a problem. But the absolute worst part was that our host caught several of the valets who were sneaking drinks from the bar and at least one was visibly intoxicated! The following day I found out (not surprisingly) that a number of cars got damaged. Also a sunroof was left open where the rain ruined the inside of the car! The following Monday I spoke to Dan Bell apparently a manager at Park Ops. He seemed as though he couldn’t care less, remarking he would, “look into it.” This was a month ago and they never got back to me or returned follow-up calls. Highly recommend any valet parking company besides ParkOps
They wrecked my car and its like a TwoThousandAnd whatever year we're in. So basically brand new.. And now its all f**ked-up and the star doesn’t light up thanks to ParkOps. The owner of ParkOps Philadelphia branch-Daniel Bell is a total piece of shi*. No insurance coverage for the damage they cause. Fu*kYouParkOps andFu*kYou Dan Bell-eat A di*k
After dealing with Park Ops Philadelphia location I learned that they don't even carry insurance! And they don't have sufficient capital to cover damage they cause.
