I attended a session of the monthly Crafternoon series the UAS puts on for free. This is a free event for adults (nothing adult themed, just an outlet to do artsy projects with other grownups without little ones interrupting) that provides instructions and supplies to complete various crafts (usually incorporating themes of reuse/upcycling). It was fun as always with both great instructors and instructees in attendance.
Nice art by students when I last visited. Nice exhibit space as well.
The Urban Arts Space is a nice little out reach of OSU's art department. Keep an eye on it for regular gallery changes, art + craft classes for all ages (which are often free), and other events.
Urban Art Space features works from a diverse art community. Also offers tours to rooftop garden. Admission is free. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
