Friendly, helpful and smells so good. Highly recommend it to anyone who smokes cigars or pipes.
I am a pipe smoker so I really only checked into pipes and pipe tobacco. I have visited all the pipe shops in the Columbus area and Pipes and Pleasures is the absolute best when it comes to pipes and tobacco. They have the largest selection of tin and bulk tobacco that I have seen in Columbus. The pipe selection is enormous with plenty of new and estate pipes available. This is an excellant source for pipe smokers.
I was fairly disappointed in my trip to Pipes and Pleasure. I remember stopping by a few years back and finding great prices, good selection, and a helpful staff. The place, however, had seemingly changed. The selection of pipes was extremely lean, they had very little pipe tobacco available, and the staff was extremely unhelpful. Beyond these negatives, there was very little parking, the location is inconvenient and not in the best part of town, and what stock that was on hand seemed overpriced. Overall, I found this location not worth the time and effort it took me to find it and I will not be bothering with another visit.
These folks are extremely knowledgeable about both pipes and cigars. They have a large walk-in humidor that contains a large selection of cigars from all price ranges. If you have a question just ask the staff. They will take great care of you.
Cigar selection was a bit slim due to stock rotation but what was there was all excellent and well cared for. Pipe selection is incredible, with local artists' work and estate pipes available along with a goodly selection of pipe tobacco. The lounge is worth the trip - friendly folks, comfy seating, a great place to spend an afternoon.
