I do not recommend anyone spend their money here. I take very good care of my hair. Deep conditioner once a month, flat twist and wash and go's. I flatiron my hair every 8 weeks for trims. I'm also color treated. For halloween I went to Shatoya Wilson loft 17 at cherry bottom/Under synergi platform. She got my hair bone straight. She also trimmed my ends (she did not do a good job with the trim. My co worker pointed out to me I need a trim after her dust of the ends). Two weeks later, My hair is washed and I have straight ends. I didn't jump to conclusions. I said my next wash, my hair should be fine. Here we are yesterday (A week later) and my ends are still straight.The person who washed me measured 4inches of straight hair in some spots. I did talk to Karen (The owner) and she asked me how often do I straighten my hair and how long did I keep it straight (code for it's your fault). She is aware of the problem and I was referred back to Shatoya to fix it. I declined! I have provided what my hair looked like in its natural state before the visit (In the hat dated 10/10) and after the visit wet (two weeks after Halloween) and after me trimming the straight pieces out. So that you see what you may experience if you do business with Karen's salon. I did do some scrolling and there is another comment about heat damage. I’m still angry because, when my straightened my hair it is really long. 4inches is a lot.
I travel 4 hours to get my hair done here. By far the best products I've ever used on my natural hair!
I was a first time customer in March. I was welcomed by a woman at the desk for check in. While checking in I was asked to complete payment for my service since I was one of the last appointments. The woman instructed me that they do this to "speed up the process" at night. This through me off a bit, but I paid and even left a tip without sitting in anyone's chair or even having stepped foot in the salon before.
Dissapointed, the salon was HIGHLY recommened...
I love supporting black owned businesses and I believe the intentions of this salon are good, but I had a horrible first experience and I have not returned since.

Hair color stains left all over my face. No one said anything when I left the shop. When I returned to shop to address the stains, they treated me, including owner and receptionist and stylist, as if it was no big deal.
Ms. Karen washed my hair and seemed extremely well versed in natural hair care, but she was honest and let me know that she is not very keen on colored hair. I asked her to cut all my dead ends, but she told me to continue to grow them out. I had paid for a precision cut, so I was not happy with this. I continued to let her wash and "style" my hair, but I was sent out of the salon in twists because I was not allowed to sit under the dryer the full time. Once again, this is because I was the last appointment. I went home, took the twists down the next morning, and absolutely hated my hair. It was my birthday so I was pretty upset.
I normally visit synergi every 2 to 3 months for a trim and straightening of my natural hair. I love that you can get in and out within an hour and there is never a long wait for your stylist. My last visit and my daughter's have been rather disappointing. Still got in and out within an hour however, my hair stayed straight for two days and my daughter's maybe 3. You can tell there has been a change in product my hair had no shine and began to "puff" up the same day and all of the seasoned staff are gone. I'm sad to say I would no longer recommend Synergi Salon. It was honestly a waste of money.
