Pretty clean for being a pet store. Had some very nice employees working in there. I heard a woman walk in the door and say I'm having a emergency my husband drain the pond and and filled it back up with water and we don't have no chlorine in it that employee she said, let me get the guy's name in which I'm sorry I don't remember, who knows exactly what you need here and throughout the store looking for the employee and found him. And when he got up there he said man what is going on she told him what happened he said all right here's what you need and he knew exactly what she needed and told her how many drops to put in her aquarium / pond she probably was not in that store not 5 minutes store.. I like those kind of stores and those kind of people.

I liked the service and the people were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed that it was clean. I found the prices to be high on the dog & puppy items but they have a great points system where .you get $$$ toward next purchase. They even honored my points from Jack's Aquarium. I was told I had 10 dollars off! How cool !

I bought two fancy blue parakeets that i had prepared for, for over 4 months. I saved up hard earned money and after i thought i was ready i bought them. They were lovely birds, very playful. Well i took them to the vet about three days after i bought them i noticed that after they had settled they stopped being as playful. The vet told me they were sick but me being a bird person i thought that i could try to help them so i spent over 200$ on medicines that i was told had a 80% chance of working i spent so much time making sure they were comfortable and that everything was how it needed to be. Well after about a month one died, it broke my heat. I dug a grave and burried her in my back yard, the other bird is still sick as well but shes alive for now. I went into the store with receipt in hand and the other bird and explained what had happened and how i couldnt dig another grave if it came down to it i loved the birds to much i wouldnt be able to be at peace with myself. They told me that it had been after 15 days so they werent going to do anything about it. I couldnt get get my money back for the bird that had past or anything i bought (a total of around 300$) and they didnt seem sorry about anything that had happened. They actually seemed angry that i had came into the store and my story in the first place. Just as a warning i wouldnt buy a bird from there. They reuse the same toys as all the other bunchs of birds and look rarely cleaned, i wouldnt buy an animal that around the birds either seemings how viruses can be spread from animal to animal. Id be careful buying from here. Im not trying to bad mouth the store but im looking out for the people who want to keep an animal for more than a month.

We buy our Bullmastifs food and other needs at this store and girls that work here are so helpful and we always have a great experience. We will continue to keep our puppy healthy and happy at this store.

Fraudulent price matching policy. They state they will match prices of other local petstores however this is a lie. Store manager Lisa would not match the price of our local petsmart. I was lured into this store under a false pretense yesterday. I needed medication for my cat. They wouldn't march the petsmart price because it was an online price.... even tho petsmart matches this price in store. Thus it becomes an in store price. Instead of apologizing to me the customer service team directed me to call the main number in Canada... after waiting almost 2 hours in between calls they too refused to apologize and insisted the policy was correct. I'm sorry but you can't do business like this in the year 2017. When the online price is also the brick and mortar stores price it isn't the online price anymore. I'll be lodging a complaint with the ohio attorney General and requesting this price matching sign be removed from the store. They refuse to honor it anyway and are using it as a means to get customers to return to the store when they have no intentions to honor it. Pet Valu doesn't treat it's customers with respect no one from either office returned my phone call until I threatened legal action. I'll no longer be visiting this store. I will however continue to read this review as the last one mysteriously disappeared. Save your money shop online or visit one of the other brick and morter stores in the area. If you can't offer a friendly face and proper customer service you should not be in the retail environment. The point in stopping into a store like this is being able to get what you need at an affordable price immediately. If you have to argue with the staff and be put under an immense amount of stress because they refuse to work with you then it's time to shop at another store. I gave them two chances after this episode to make the situation right and they didn't. My business isn't valued here and yours likely won't be either. The mark ups at this retail establishment are far above that or even traditional pet stores. I'll be posting a video review on YouTube Monday
