Best moving company EVER! They were very professional and arrived on time. They went above and beyond of what I needed to have done. I most deff will be using the services again.
Cons:
Pros:
They come highly recommended on the U-Haul site moving help section. I hired them for a packing and loading job into 2 U-Boxes. They did a good job but not without flaws.
3) Except asking for water (it was a hot day) and for the AC to be cranked up higher, they didn't ask for any tip or drinks or anything. I gladly tipped them $40 after the job and also offered to buy food which they declined.
4) The crew was honest. I had some money and jewelry in a drawer which I'd forgotten to secure in the chaos of the move (not their fault, what move isn't?). They packed those up without "misplacing" anything and without my supervision.
2) There was some back and forth on the moving date. I wanted a Saturday which Michael agreed to, only to later call me and ask that the date be changed. We finally went with the Saturday but I'd have appreciated a little more professionalism in that area.
4) My biggest gripe is that they missed packing several items in the kitchen, two big drawers full to be exact. Michael and 2 teenagers had joined forces with awesome Rob and Stiles (?) after a couple of hours, and it was mostly the teens who packed up the kitchen. They seem to be hurrying towards the end and I was exhausted too so didn't catch it at that time. When I did, I called Michael and asked if we could do something about that. Michael told me that when things like that happened, people usually packed those items themselves. On my insistence, he quibbled that he didn't make the money he expected from my job and sending someone to pack up the items missed would cost $150. Seriously? For things that they were supposed to pack and didn't? Obviously, I ended up packing those myself.
Called these guys last minute and they were there within the hour. Best moving company I've had the experience of working with. Polite, friendly, and efficient.
3) The guys were supposed to come between 4 - 7 PM but showed up at 1:30 without notice. Luckily, I spotted them trying to find the address but 5 minutes later, and I wouldn't have been home.
This company helped me out when I needed a truck unloaded. They scrambled to get some men quickly to the location. Thank you
So, if I needed to move again, would I hire them again? I probably would, as long as I know for sure that I'm getting Rob and Stiles (?) and I don't have to leave the job site and I run a fine toothed comb when they say they're done. I'd also ask that the fee for the initial visit be included in the total cost. Last but not the least, I'd ask for a list of moving supplies in writing if I were to buy them.
I called GR8LABOR on short notice for help unloading my moving truck and within a half hour they were at my apartment! After only an hour and a half later the entire 16' truck was emptied and set up in my new home. Mike and his crew were organized, professional, friendly, and incredibly efficient. I really cannot say enough about how great they were! A true pleasure to work with and I will definitely be using them again for future moves!
1) They were very professional. We ran out of moving supplies and I'd to go buy some, but for most part, I was physically present at the job site and I was impressed at their work ethic. Rob and Stiles (?), especially, were phenomenal. They wrapped up my furniture beautifully, exercising extra care when required (LED TV, glass dining table), and loaded snugly, which is the key to prevent damage. Except a dining chair leg minor damage, which I've sold since and hence can't complain, everything else arrived in impeccable shape. That says something considering almost 2500 miles that the items were moved.
2) They were very amicable; Rob kept telling me, "we got you, sir" and he wasn't lying. They consulted with me when required but were also able to make decisions on their own. It was apparent that they knew what they were doing and were very good at that.
1) Due to the long distance of my move, I asked that someone come and take a look at the items instead of depending on hearsay over the phone. Michael Pitts, the owner of the business, came over, and I showed him what needed to be packed and loaded. Michael charged $35 for the visit, which didn't go towards the moving cost, as the case usually is with movers. He also briefly mentioned but didn't provide me with any list of moving supplies that I was responsible for buying. Having paid for the visit, I'd expected that from him.
