WARNING!! I used this company Friday the 3rd. to remove my things from storage to my townhome. The 1st complaint is they moved very slow purposely to make more money. They also wasted time talking to me about unessary things to slow them down to get more money. I had to constantly tell them I was told upon scheduling my move would only take 2 hours so lets stay focus and stay within that time. 2nd. They got into an argument with the storage manager because they dropped trash and my daughter dvd as they were moving and I didn't notice until the manager told them they must clean it up or I will be charged. The manager stated he seen them on camera. Also the gentlman was very slow and older . They sat my belongings on the dirty ground. One of the gentlman was inside the home for about 20 mins as the other sat things on the dirty ground waiting for him to come out. This is delaying more time. Finally the guy came out sweating and removing bot of his shirts and took a small break on my dime. So basically what took him so long was he had started a fire in my new townhome. I walk in to see what was he doing so long inside and smelled the fire. He didn't even have the respect to tell me about it 1st. His excuse was It must have turned the stove on when I sat them on the stove.. Yes I know what professional company will do that?????? Huffy movers thats who! By the way the guy even hit the brand new light fixtures and almost knocked them down. Then they blocked my neighbor in with the truck and took forever to move the truck. Also it took them forever to pull in to even start to unload the truck yes still on my dime.. Then I noticed 1 of my piece of furniture was left on the truck. Also they didn't care about the fire they caused which they assured me it was only one box but come to find out it was more. By the way they didn't even try to clean of the residue from the fire at all. I still had to pay the full $240.. How fair is that?????????? What was professional about that?????????????? No appologies no clean up after they started the fire and yes still charged me the full $240. I was a first time and last time customer..I didn't scream I politely expressed that this was wrong.Also I called to report it and you guessed it they didn't even apologize either.etc.... The lady said my manager will call you the 2nd time I called. You guessed it .. Yes one of the movers said he was the manager. I said sir let me have the owner number he said no owner. I said let me have cooperate office number. He said no cooperate. He was only willing to refund $20.. Are you serious. My y year old daughter was scared wgen she seen the residue. Mind you we was in a fire before and almost not have made it out alive. So this was hard for us to see and smell this fire. I asked for theur insurance info. They didn't give it ti me. I tried to work it out with them . so now Im going the legal route.. It's a shame that you will taje advantage of a single mother. I don't even own the town home and they know this but did they care absolutely not. Instead I paid $240 for poor service and the fire that they started. Be aware of a truck that anyone can purchase and put a name on it. They advertise themselves as prifessional movers. The big name movers would have never handled me this way as a customer... You have been warned.. I will definetly reach out to my attorney and better buisness.
This is the second time I went for Huffys...The guy Sam was awesome. They were really hard working and time efficient.
I was in need of a long distance move within 24 hours and the staff at Huffys Movers did an amazing job securing and expediting my needs, making me feel very comfortable and confident in selecting then.
