Safe & fun place to take your kids. My girls jump, play, and have adventures with the other fire flies that make their way to the cafe. Nice place to keep enjoy a cup and chat while your kids can have their fun.
Overall — despite its flaws — Firefly is a fine place for moms/dads who need to study/work.
One of the best places for young kids. My preschooler loves the bounce house!
I couldn't get my 20mo to leave! Very fun for him and I was able to keep an eye on him while sipping my coffee and getting some work done. We will definitely be back!
Feels less like a cohesive play place and more like a random assortment of play items in an empty storefront. It's described as a "play cafe" but the coffee is not great and it feels like you're inconveniencing them when you order some. Safety is also not high on the priority list. Not much padding, lots of hard wooden surfaces (and corners) and my son left bleeding. A definite one time visit.
I work as a freelance writer/designer. My wife goes to grad school at OSU. We have a 2.5-year-old boy who needs to burn off all his energy, but I still need to get work done. While Firefly Play Cafe isn’t the PERFECT place to meet the needs of our family, it gets pretty close. For 8 bucks, my kid can run around as much as he wants and I can sit down with my laptop. Now, it’s an open area, so it’s my job to keep an eye on him. Also, it’s a popular place, and there are plenty of crying/loud/hungry kids to distract you. That doesn’t bother me too much, but I can totally see where it would make other people unable to get work done. The major issue I have is that there is only one outlet that I can plug my computer into. If that table’s taken, I better hope my battery lasts.
