Food was not good. Shrimp in fried rice was dry. Not much flavor all around. They didn't receive my online order for some reason but quickly made my order while I waited. Then they left out some egg rolls. They made up for it and I picked up what they left out, but the service hiccups combined with underwhelming food will keep me from revisiting.
The NE food is delicious. Dining environment is clean with simple decorations. The car parking space is limited, this is an issue.
This is, by far, the best chinese food I have ever had. I have been told that it is probably the most authentic in Columbus. The short rib stew with the pancakes was so good I wished I didn't get full!
Best Chinese I have had since leaving the East Coast. We ordered the fern root noodles, spicy pork spare ribs, and Singapore rice noodles. The fern root noodles, served cold, were the highlight of the meal, though both other dishes were excellent. NE Chinese Restaurant is our new go-to for authentic Chinese food in Columbus. And it's great that it's so centrally located in Old North, saving a drive to the 'burbs.
They say "meal for 2" for the specials when they mean "meal for 4." Just an FYI.
This place reminds me so much of NYC. i love it here. A great place for a bite for sure. Go out of your comfort zone and give it a try!!
