I do not recommend Wilce for psychiatric diagnosis and medication management. Wilce was able to arrange comprehensive psychological testing for an ADHD diagnosis, but my assigned physician was cold and pretty unfeeling and unhelpful with ADHD and depression treatment. I was able to switch to a better doctor at the clinic, but for psychological conditions I would recommend OSU students instead see psychiatrists at Counseling and Consultation Services. Most of my appointments outside of mental health were handled pretty well, and plenty of appointments were available for scheduling, though I thought the doctors could be a little hesitant to refer out for specialists when I asked. I had very good experiences with the dental, nutritionist, and physical therapy services. I liked the pharmacy staff but in general I think the Kroger pharmacy has better prices, and Kroger certainly has better hours. Wilce is not open most weekends--I've never been able to find a Saturday when they were open, honestly.
I get a gastrointestinal cold, and feels really week and bad.
They just renovated the reception area and it is much nicer! Every time I go here I am in and out in a decent amount of time 45min-1hr. max. I recommend Sarah Phillips in Women's Health. She is very friendly and knowledgable :)
Went in as a student. Prompt service.
This clinic is operated by Ohio State University exclusively for its students and it is a separate entity from the Wexner Medical Center, with different medical records, billing, scheduling, and doctors. It is also separate in these respects from OSU's Counseling and Consultation Services. Wilce is a medium-to-large primary care clinic with some specialized facilities like a lab, pharmacy, and an X-ray machine, along with in-house optometry, dentistry, women's health, and physical therapy services. It is not a free clinic, but they do accept insurance plans, with the major exception of Medicaid and Medicare. For students with OSU Student Health Insurance, most appointments at Wilce are free or, for regular services like a dental cleaning, require a $15 copay. For regular check-ups and the like, you see a doctor, but the doctors are exclusively general practitioners. Any specialist work has to be referred out, though Wilce has a referral coordinator that can find and make appointments for you with an outside doctor.
Went there for a jammed finger. All they wanted to talk to me about was my gay sexual health
The earliest appointment online is 3 days later, also tried to call them to see if I can get a same day one or a least next day. BUT, no one answer to phone!
For OSU students, Wilce is probably the most affordable and convenient option for primary care, but for some services like mental health or the pharmacy, they may want to pick and choose outside providers.
Rediculous appointment system!
