I really loved this restaurant! The service was flawless. Everyone was so polite and the restaurant was so beautiful and clean! The food was excellent! Although the portions were on the smaller side, the flavors and textures were just top notch. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a delicious, chic experience!
There are few dinner selections however there is still a good variety. It feels more like a place to spend some time ordering plates for the table, than ordering your own meal.
Nice building and decor, but ultimately trying to be more than what it really is; just another hipster bar/restaurant trying to be too cool for the neighborhood. I really wanted to like this place, with the post-and-beam framing arching over the dining area, and nicely decorated bar to the side. But the menu mostly consisted of either tweaked bar fare or needlessly complex items seemingly existing only to impress a client. The food was rather lackluster, with one of our group members receiving a lamb burger that was closer to charcoal briquette than the requested medium-well...possibly expected when busy, but the establishment was only about 25% full at the time.
Price is a little high, but I feel the attentive service makes up for it. Our waitress was attentive without burden. She was very professional and was a pleasure to have.
The bar is well stocked with local liquor as well as popular spirits. There seems to be a good selection of house cocktails along with plenty of ingredients to make any sort of drink.
Bottom line: this felt like a restaurant more about image than substance. Nice to look at, but lacking in both service and substance.
We went to The Guild House for our anniversary and they knocked it out of the park. From the opening "Happy Anniversary" greeting, to complementary bubbly and then dessert, the service was fantastic at making us feel special. The drinks were spot on, apps (brussel sprouts and prime rib cap) and entree (sea bass and pork) were incredibly tasty and perfectly sized portions. I will definitely go back
One of my favourite restaurants in Columbus. I can't say the service is the absolute gold standard, but it is very friendly and hospitable! The food is pretty solid also! Overall, a good dining experience. If someone came to visit me from out of town, I would take them here!
Elegant place with a moderate sized wine list. Although the wine list isn't huge, it has a selection of above average wines from a couple different regions. There are more reds than white which is a welcome relief.
