we were treated very well. the doctors were very prompt; they kept you informed frequently; and truly seemed to care about the patient. although we were only in emergency,the whole staff was very helpful. it was very comforting even though we were miles from home that they still cared for the patient as if you were still as important as anyone else
Wish i could give a zero... this is a first come first serve place. I'm in excruciating pain and it hurts to even breathe. They are still working on clearing patients from over 9 hours ago!!!!! Seen people looking just fine getting to go back. And when asked, the lady responded with, "oh the girl that just got here 30 minutes ago?!" Like that has a bearing on when i should be seen. I will never be back here unless by squad with no say so. HORRIBLE
First of all the people who have posted 1 star, follow the Golden Rule - treat people as you would like to be treated.
As for hospital care, nothing moves quickly at a hospital unless you come in by ambulance or copter. Work a 24 hour shift and then tell me how personalable you are. These are amazing people. Be thankful they can help you.
To those who complain... You realize this a cafeteria and not a Cameron Mitchell restaurant, right?! It was exactly what was expected, good salad bar, reasonably priced
The nursing staff at MT Carmel East were great-in fact they were the best! All of them displayed an utmost level of professionalism and courtesy.
I just had a knee replacement revision surgery that was necessitated ny a distracted driver .My knee was less than four years old when the accident occurred. Dr.Joel Politi and his staff did an excellent job on my knee as my recovery has went well beyond my expectations.. My pain after surgery was minor and five days after I am doing well in my rehab.
I was in Mt Carmel East for 10 days. The hospital is older but they are trying to finish the new building which should be nice. The nurses that I had & I saw every one of them in their 12 hour shifts several times, were very professional, caring & helpful. But if you treat them like they are your personal maid or expect them to be at your side constantly then you have NO idea how many patients that they have to take care of other than YOU. The 3rd floor nurses were outstanding during my stay & I personally believe that Golden Rule that you treat others as you would like to be treated.
