Please!!!! If you come here for treatment do not come alone and make sure the person or people that come with you are willing to speak up for you!
I had a bilateral inguinal hernia repair along with an adductor tendon release on July 20, 2017. All of the staff were incredible. They took the time to answer every question I had, the surgery happened when it was scheduled, and I was on my way home less than six hours after I walked in. I was really pleased with their efficiency, professionalism, and their positive attitude. Thanks for the great care.
This hospital is by far the worst I've ever been to! The doctors have been great as well as my night nurse last night but everyone else has been horrible to me.
I am currently at OSU East on the 8th floor. I've been calling out for my meds for over an hour and no body comes to help. I was just told there were other nurses ahead of mine that were getting meds for their patients. How is that possible if I've called out 5 times for my meds?? Pretty much a joke! I would never want my family to be here to get "help." Joi is the nurses name who keeps blowing me off and ignoring me. I'm not one to complain but this is absurd and not right at all!! I know for a fact that I'm being ignored since I overheard the nurse whispering about me by my rooms door! How unprofessional can you get??
Their job is to turn over beds and the shift change is absolutely brutal for anyone in recovery, specifically from an assault. The admitting staff is very nice and caring, but it gets very passive aggressive angry in the morning so go anywhere else if you think you might need to be admitted for more than 12 hours because they WILL kick you out regardless of being admitted for assault, and their security are a bunch of brutes who snatch discharge papers from patients and further assault the patients. Go to Dublin Methodist or even Grant. Go ANYWHERE but here because THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU.
Katie came in and said to me "what can I do for ya?" I explained everything to her and she just stood there with her arms crossed and an I don't care look on her face.
Surgeon and staff in recovery room were great..once in my hospital room , it turned into a nightmare..the absplute loudest hospital I have ever stayed in.. I have had one hour sleep all night due to pain and noise.
*UPDATE*- The charge nurse Katie came in at my request after my nurse Joi came in. Joi stated that I only called out 1 time and pretty much called me a lier when I told her I called out upwards of 5 times in 1.5 hrs.
I've been in and out of hospitals my whole life due to conditions I was born with. Worse doctors I've ever had to deal with. I've been an inpatient since Saturday. Can't even get them to run fluids. All I keep hearing about is the policy they have to follow. Plus the opioid epidemic. I'm not an addict so I don't appreciate being treated as one. Going home in a few hours feeling just as bad as when I got here. I will say that the nurse as well as the ed doctor have been excellent.
