I entered this facility like a turtle on a post and the work they did was like a miracle. In 22 days I was doing daily chores for myself and was able to get up with a walker and had a very positive outlook. Great facility and wonderful caring people.
The care I received was phenomenal. Everyone was so good at their job and very caring about each patient. Although I was 2 hours from home, I would chose Ohio Health Rehab again.
Not Recommended for hard workers. The nursing staff are a mean spirited back stabbing. group as documented by prior patents and former associates they think they are better than everybody. The HR Manager is Pro Management therefore, cannot tecruit good personnel or keep hard working associates just look at the turnovet rate. If there was a rating for negative numbers or stars this organization deserves it.
My grandmother stayed here in rehab for a few weeks. Rehab was everyday, which was a good thing. But sadly her legs were numb meaning she could not walk and needed help from the staff. They were mean to her, telling her to wait until shift change if she needed something. They never change the sheets. I changed them and found BM and food crumbs after they tried to hide & fold the blankets down so you couldn't see it. It was brought to the nurses attention & that was like talking to a wall. The food was ALWAYS cold. Lord forbid you want it warmed up. Not the best place to stay if your loved one cannot do for themself. 2 stars are for the therapy team.
The only issue I ran into was her discharge. For some reason, they really wanted her out of there and I felt like she could have benefited from more time. I was told one week there was no anticipated date of discharge. The next week, I was told they were looking at doing in 1-2 days from our call. She was eventually discharged right before Thanksgiving and I'm still wondering why. She needs more help than she is being given at her new place even though OhioHealth said she was ready to be on her own and didn't need a sitter (she can't verbally say when she needs help all the time and doesn't remember when you tell her to hit her call light). It was never explained to me why she had to go so quickly. I am hoping this decision does not fail my sister in the long run.
My sister was here for about a month and a half. It was a mostly positive experience until the end when I ran into a minor issue. First, her therapy staff was AMAZING. I saw my sister improve so much in that time and it was because all of the hard work they did with her. Her nursing and aide staff were great too. They always called me if there was an issue or if my sister wanted to speak to me.
