As a patient at Select Medical for 4 weeks I found the facility to be very clean. As with any facility, I had a problem with one staff member that was addressed by managers. I especially wanted to thank Christina for her support and detail about my plans moving forward on the vent. I will say that at this facility people gave me more attention than in others.
I was a patient here for two months. Before I arrived I was at a different hospital in the ICU originally in critical condition, where my doctors said I would either not survive, or in the best case scenario would need to have chest tubes and be on the ventilator for the rest of my life. When I came to Select Specialty Hospital they were able to take great care of me while safely weaning me off the ventilator, handling my pain, figuring out the antibiotics needed to combat my persistent lung infection, alongside steady physical therapy until I regained my ability to walk. The nurses and aides were very helpful and incredibly nice to me. I had some minor issues early on in my stay and the CEO came to me directly and helped fix the situation very quickly.
Amazing staff! Helped keep me motivated to get better to get back home to my family! Love you guys, you're the greatest!
